Picking a Beginner-Friendly Class that’s right for you

Picking the right class when you are a brand new student can be a little confusing. We will do our best to explain the different types of classes in this section but if you still feel confused, please reach out via email and describe your activity level, any injuries, and other concerns and one of our staff members will point you to the right direction.

ALL CLASS DESCRIPTIONS CAN BE FOUND HERE.

Stretch is our most gentle, least intensive class. Perfect for people with pain, chronic illness, and for folks looking to SLOW down and chill.

Gentle Yoga is good for beginners who need to move a little slower and with the support of blocks, bolsters, blankets, and straps. Easy on the joints.

Beginners Yoga is where you will start to build strength, endurance, and cardio conditioning. Still moving with mindful awareness of alignment to keep you safe from injury. Learn the foundational poses in this class and maybe even break a sweat.

How do I sign up?

Download our app to register for classes!

Most students prefer to sign up for classes with the convenience of the YogaBody Studios - Chino Hills app. They say that scheduling classes in advance keeps them motivated and the reminders help them get to class with plenty of time.

You can always sign up in person at the front desk - just arrive a few minutes early.

How to Prepare

You can sign up for class before you arrive here OR simply show up at the front desk and let them know you need to sign up and they will walk you through the process. It’s really easy!

For your first visit please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in and take a tour of the studio to get your bearings.

Begin by drinking plenty of water a few hours before class. We want you to feel hydrated and happy!

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move with ease. Sweat pants, yoga pants, a tank top, or T-shirt (not too loose). Barefoot is best.

Bring a yoga mat, a hand towel, and a water bottle. If you don't have a mat, we offer high quality Manduka mat rentals for just $2 at the front desk.

What to Expect

Each class style and teacher is different so you can always expect to challenge yourself in new and exciting ways. Patience is key when delving into your practice to open areas of your body that may be unfamiliar or unexplored.

We encourage you to move safely and gently using breath to keep your body healthy. Never push past pain as the old adage of "No pain, no gain" doesn't apply to yoga.

You are encouraged to take breaks at anytime you need and to move at your own pace. We want you to feel comfortable and at ease on your mat.

Be prepared to sweat, challenge yourself physically and mentally but most importantly, have fun. After all, it's just yoga!
